High-quality axle including a complete conversion kit for upgrading the wheel bearing assembly from open-shoulder ball bearings to sealed industrial deep-groove ball bearings, suitable for Piaggio Ciao mopeds with a spoked front wheel.
The special bearing shells are installed in combination with the appropriate spacer and replace the conventional tapered roller bearing assembly with individual balls. This allows you to upgrade the front wheel bearing assembly to sealed deep-groove ball bearings. The bearing adapters feature two recesses, allowing the speed sensor drive to continue functioning.
The conversion kit consists of a red anodized spacer tube, two reducer cups (bearing cups) with pre-pressed sealed ball bearings from SKF—the world’s leading ball bearing manufacturer—and a complete wheel axle with all necessary washers and nuts.
The two low-profile nuts on the speed sensor side are already pre-assembled in their fixed positions. This ensures the necessary spacing is provided, eliminating the need for time-consuming spacer adjustments.
The colored markings show you where each part goes:
- green mark: brake anchor plate
- yellow mark: Replacement washer for the speedometer drive (the washer is not needed if a drive is installed)
- red mark: wheel hub or ball bearing conversion kit
- blue mark: fork legs
