This housing screw—or tie rod—is used for the standard fastening of the two halves of your scooter’s engine housing. Unlike stud bolts, the housing bolt is not screwed into the engine housing itself, but is instead threaded through the through-hole in both housing halves and then secured on one side. The opposite end features a head without a keyway and is equipped with an anti-rotation device. This allows the engine housing to be properly clamped, as is intended for numerous classic Vespa engines.
